Welcome to our web site!

My name is Kristine Pappas, author of Widow for a Season: Finding Your Identity in Christ.  This site is designed to be a resource not only for the widow who is struggling with the difficult issues that accompany loss, but also for her friends, family, and others who desire to come along side of her as a source of  encouragement.

Please feel free to peruse our materials.  We offer an ongoing Newsletter with lots of tidbits that we encourage you to print off and pass around to others.

For those who are not widows themselves but the "others" in a widow's life who desire to encourage and support her please make this site known to her and print off a copy of the newsletter so she can be encouraged by it.

Take time to review the Chapter Summaries from the book and the Study Guide material that is intended to be used in tandem with it.

Our information on Finances will help you get started on budgeting by providing worksheets and websites that will empower you.  We also offer input from a financial advisor for more difficult areas of management.

Pastors please visit the tab designed for you and let us know how we are doing.  There is a wealth of information there including ideas about what a ministry to widows might look like in today's church culture.  The articles are written by pastors who have active ministries in place.  Specific training models that are designed to get the men in your church excited about lifetime ministry to widows are also provided as well as links to many helpful websites.

Should you decide to Purchase the Book you may do so by selecting the appropriate tab above.

Finally, please take time to Contact Us and let us know about your special circumstances.  Authorized members of our board are prepared to encourage you interactively one-on-one and would consider it a privilege to hear from you.  We believe that "No one can help a widow like another widow."
